Violent crime continues to impact too many neighborhoods, and unresolved issues inside the Sheriff’s Office have slowed progress. With nearly two decades of law enforcement experience, I know how to bring people together, restore trust, and deliver real results for every resident.”

Lower Violent Crime
I will use data-driven strategies and strong partnerships with local agencies to drive down violent crime with measurable results.
Residents deserve a Sheriff who is actively engaged, present in the community, and committed to consistent, visible action.
Transparency & Timely Accountability
A Sheriff’s Office must earn the community’s trust every single day. I will ensure faster investigations, clearer communication, and public reporting so residents aren’t left in the dark. Transparency isn’t optional—it’s leadership.
Community Relations & Presence
Building trust requires showing up.
I will create regular listening sessions, increase community-based programming, and ensure deputies are visible and engaged. When the Sheriff’s Office connects with the people it serves, safety and trust grow.
Diversity, Equity & Professional Conduct
Every resident deserves respectful, fair treatment from law enforcement. I will promote diversity within the department, improve training, and build a culture of professionalism that reflects the values of all communities in Hennepin County.
Unified Law Enforcement Partnerships
Major incidents demand coordinated leadership.
I will strengthen communication between city, county, and federal agencies so that information flows faster and decisions are made with clarity. A unified response keeps our neighborhoods safer and prevents preventable failures.
Operational Efficiency & Follow-Through
A Sheriff’s Office must operate with reliability and discipline.
I will modernize internal systems, improve case management, and ensure concerns—whether from deputies or residents—are handled promptly. Hennepin County needs a Sheriff who follows through, communicates clearly, and keeps the department running efficiently
